What you’re actually paying for

• The portrait. Hot Toys likenesses are sculpted from actor scans and hand-painted — the reason a shelf Daredevil reads as Charlie Cox from across the room, not “a figure in red”.
• The tailoring. Real fabric costumes, cut and layered at 1/6 scale, over an articulated body. Cloth drapes and creases the way sculpted plastic never can — it’s why these photograph like film stills.
• The kit. Swappable hands, weapons, effect parts and display bases — each figure is a small production, which is also why each one takes so long to make.
• The scale. Sixth scale means roughly 30cm — and the Alien Big Chap runs 36cm. Plan real shelf depth and a dust strategy; these are display centrepieces, not cabinet filler.

Right now the line-up runs the Marvel corner — The Punisher and Daredevil from the Television Masterpiece series — alongside an Arkham Origins Batman for DC, Neo from The Matrix Reloaded, the Alien Big Chap, and a Movie Masterpiece Skeletor for Masters of the Universe.
