S.H. Figuarts, Nendoroid, scale — the formats, decoded

• S.H. Figuarts — Bandai’s Tamashii Nations collector line, and the backbone of our range. Around 15cm tall, heavily articulated, with swappable faces, hands and effect parts — these are built to be posed, re-posed and photographed, not just parked on a shelf. For sculpt and paint at this size, it’s the line everything else gets measured against. Typically £45–£90.
• Nendoroid — Good Smile Company’s palm-sized chibi format: roughly 10cm, oversized heads, interchangeable expressions, enormous charm. The friendliest first figure there is, and the one we point gift-buyers at. Usually £30–£45.
• Scale figures & statues — fixed-pose display pieces sculpted to a set fraction of character height. No articulation joints to design around, so the sculpts get ambitious. This is where the range climbs past £100, and where a single piece can anchor an entire shelf.

Which series? (what’s actually on the shelves here)

We don’t chase every release — we stock the series with figures worth owning. Right now that means a deep Demon Slayer bench, the Dragon Ball Z canon (there is always a Goku), and strong runs of Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Chainsaw Man, with One Piece, Naruto and Pokémon alongside. The line-up shifts as allocations land, so if the character you’re after isn’t up, it’s usually a pre-order away rather than gone for good.

How to choose — first figure or fiftieth

• Posers vs display pieces. Be honest about which you are. If you’ll happily spend an evening getting a kick pose exactly right, Figuarts. If the figure goes up once and stays put, a Nendoroid or a scale piece gives you more presence per pound.
• Measure the shelf. A Figuarts wants around 20cm of clearance to pose properly; scale figures often need more room than you think, in every direction. Sizes are listed on each product page — check before you buy, not after.
• Set the budget by the job. Under £45 gets a genuinely good figure, not a compromise — most Nendoroids live here. £45–£90 is the Figuarts heartland, and the sweet spot for most collectors. £90+ is scale-figure and centrepiece territory. Our current range runs from £29.99 to about £165.
