Transformers
Transformers action figures — Autobots and Decepticons that convert between robot and vehicle modes by hand, no tools and no swapped parts. Hasbro’s collector lines run from Studio Series and Generations through Legacy and the movie ranges, across Core, Deluxe, Voyager, Leader and Commander classes, covering Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream and forty years of Cybertron. Officially licensed, hand-checked on arrival and dispatched from Bristol.
Did you know?
Robots in disguise — a toy line that grew into a global saga. Here's the story behind the Transformers figures you're collecting.
- Born in Japan. Transformers began as two Japanese toy lines — Takara's Diaclone and Micro Change — before Hasbro spotted them at the 1983 Tokyo Toy Show and combined them.
- Rebranded in 1984. Hasbro relaunched them as Transformers, giving the toys characters and a story: Optimus Prime, Megatron and the Autobot–Decepticon war.
- Designed by an anime legend. The original toys were designed with input from Shoji Kawamori — who went on to create Macross, mecha royalty.
- More than meets the eye. The blend of toy, cartoon and comic made Transformers one of the defining franchises of the 80s — and it's still going strong.
- Engineering you can hold. From Masterpiece to Studio Series, Transformers figures are prized for being a robot and a vehicle in one.
