The Hot Toys Silver Surfer is chrome given a soul — the herald of Galactus, poised on his board with the Power Cosmic at his fingertips.

Few Marvel characters are as visually pure: one silver figure, one silver board, the cosmos for a backdrop. This figure takes the challenge literally, finishing sculpt and body in glossy silver electroplating rather than paint — a mirror shine that makes it unlike anything else in a Marvel collection. He stands roughly 31.5cm board-to-crown.

What the Hot Toys Silver Surfer is finished with

The newly developed head sculpt and muscular body carry that electroplated gleam across every contour, catching cabinet light like actual metal. An array of interchangeable electroplated hands sets the gestures, and one pair of translucent purple effect hands summons the Power Cosmic mid-cast. The surfboard attaches magnetically to his feet — the magnet position adjusts for different stances — and Mjolnir is included for recreating the comics’ great worthiness moments. A diorama figure stand carries board and Surfer in flight.

Display presence

Electroplate is the display trick paint can’t match: the figure literally reflects the room. Angled into a carve on the stand, purple effect hands raised, the Surfer reads as motion and light — the shelf’s one genuinely cosmic piece.
