AkiraCircuit is run by a family of collectors based in Bristol, UK. We trade as LUI1960 Ltd, registered at Companies House. There’s no warehouse full of strangers, no overseas dropshipper, no faceless support team. Every order is hand-picked, hand-packed, and dispatched by us.

We didn’t start this because we spotted a gap in the market. We started it because we’ve been buying figures, bags, vinyls and games for years — and we got tired of bootlegs, careless packaging, and shops that treat collectors as transactions instead of people who actually care about what arrives in the box.

We’re not in this for a quick buck. We’re in it because this culture raised us — and now we get to be part of it on the other side of the counter.

I’m Enz, the founder. I grew up on the first wave of anime that made it to the UK — Fist of the North Star, Violence Jack, Akira — back when finding a copy meant a knackered VHS and a long bus ride. I was a Ghostbusters obsessive as a kid and still am. ThunderCats, He-Man, the 80s and 90s cartoon line-up, retro gaming on every console I could get my hands on. AkiraCircuit is the shop I’d have lost my mind over as a teenager, and that’s the bar.

My wife Kim is the Disney corner of the house, and The Little Mermaid is her absolute favourite — full stop, no debate. She’s the reason our Loungefly range runs deep, and why we know what a proper Disney collector actually wants on a shelf rather than what the algorithm thinks they should want.

Our son Leon is, hands down, the most hardcore fan in this house. My Hero Academia is his world — the kind of fan who knows the arc, the sub differences, the figure variant numbers. He loves Marvel and DC too — not as a comic-book collector, but as someone who lives the characters and the stories. When we look at carrying something new, his read on it is the one that matters most. He’s why this shop exists with the integrity it does.

Our daughter Tia brings the anime and Hello Kitty side of things, all-in on Sanrio and the cuter end of the collector world. She’s the reason cute and collectible sit alongside scale figures and statues on our site — because a real collection has range, and Sanrio collectors deserve the same care as anyone hunting a 1/4 scale.

And then there’s my brother Mike (Michele) — not on the shop floor day to day, but worth the mention. He’s a serious collector with an extensive personal collection of his own, and a sharp eye on what’s worth carrying, what’s overpriced, and what’s about to move. Family means more than four people on a company stamp.
