In The Dark Knight Returns Superman isn’t the villain, which is what makes him terrifying. This Comic Masterpiece figure renders Miller’s bulky, brooding titan at roughly 34cm — the irresistible force opposite the immovable Bat in any DC collection.

What the Hot Toys Superman turns up

Two newly developed head sculpts run his arc: the stoic authority of the government man, and a battle-damaged, clenched-teeth snarl with blood paint for the Gotham showdown. Both carry separate rolling eyeballs with a specially applied UV-luminous reflective effect — put them under UV light and the heat vision genuinely glows. The newly built muscular body wears the blue elastic-fabric suit with the chest emblem, yellow belt and a bendable wire-embedded red cape that sculpts into flight shapes. Six interchangeable hands, a Kryptonite arrow and the damaged sonic gun tell the ending; the display stand carries the comic logo.

Display presence

UV torch on the eyes, cape bent into a dive: this is the rare Superman that reads as threat rather than rescue. Beside the matching Batman it completes comics’ most famous last stand.
