The Dark Knight Returns reshaped Batman forever, and its 40th anniversary brings the definitive comic Batman to sixth scale: bulkier, angrier, blood already drawn. This Comic Masterpiece figure stands roughly 32cm — the cornerstone piece for the serious end of a DC collection.

How the Hot Toys Batman wears the damage

Two head options run the story: a newly developed Bruce Wayne sculpt with rolling eyeballs and blood paintwork, and the blue cowled head with three interchangeable lower faces — so the jaw can be set anywhere from grim to snarling. The specialised muscular body carries Miller’s ageing-tank physique, dressed in an elastic-fabric grey Batsuit with sculpted tears and blood application, under a wired blue cape that holds sweeping shapes. Six interchangeable gloved hands — battle-damaged fists included — handle four Batarangs, the rope-attached Batarang and the rifle. Cowl-off display with the Wayne head is built in.
