The opening heist of The Dark Knight is five of the most imitated minutes in cinema, and Ledger’s Joker owns every one of them. This DX figure bottles that introduction: the Bank Robber Version, roughly 30cm, and the piece that gives a DC collection its menace.

What the Hot Toys Joker hides under the blazer

Two head sculpts carry the scene — the sinister grin with its mid-length dirty-green hair, painted down to smudged makeup and skin texture, and the bank-robber clown mask that made the poster. Both use separate rolling eyeballs. The tailoring is the heist wardrobe: striped shirt under a grey blazer and pants. Then the arsenal — pistol, shotgun, twelve round grenades, a pull-string smoke grenade, four additional smoke grenades and a grenade rack — with eight newly developed hands to hold cards, gun or grenade string. A duffle bag and stacks of money finish the job.

Display presence

The bank-themed diorama base with its shattering glass door and school-bus backdrop stages the getaway itself. Masked or grinning, this is the figure people cross the room to look at.
