S.H.Figuarts Thor brought both hammers. That single detail tells you where Thor sits in Avengers: Doomsday — Mjolnir back in his hand and Stormbreaker still slung, a god who has stopped choosing between the weapon he was given and the one he had made.
The detail worth paying for
Mjolnir arrives with its fractures worked into the paint rather than moulded as damage, so the cracks catch light across the face of the head instead of reading as a texture. It is a small decision that separates this S.H.Figuarts Thor from the several earlier releases of the character — as does the costume, which is his latest, with the armour panelling and cloth-effect layering sculpted to the film’s design rather than carried over. A real fabric cape hangs and drapes properly, and three pairs of hands cover single-weapon, double-weapon and open poses.
Alongside the rest
At 16cm he matches Doctor Doom from the same wave almost exactly, which makes the pairing obvious. Both sit comfortably with the S.H.Figuarts pieces already in our Marvel figures range.
