S.H.Figuarts Dark Deku: this is Deku with nothing left to lose. Cut loose from U.A., running on borrowed Quirks and almost no sleep, Izuku Midoriya spent the darkest stretch of My Hero Academia hunting villains alone in a costume that was falling apart around him. S.H.Figuarts Dark Deku captures him mid-collapse rather than mid-triumph, and it is by some distance the most interesting version of the character Bandai has produced.

Where the S.H.Figuarts Dark Deku sculpt earns its keep

The costume damage is sculpted, not printed — torn hems, frayed edges and ground-in grime layered across the bodysuit and that heavy scavenged cape. The Black Whip parts mount on their own articulated shafts rather than sitting as fixed spikes, so the tendrils can be arranged to lash, coil or brace against the floor. Two mask expressions swap in, and a full mask-off head with separate bangs lets you display the exhausted face underneath.

At 14cm he reads as a shadow next to brighter hero figures, which is exactly the point — stand him beside a clean-costume Deku or All Might from our My Hero Academia figures range and the whole arc tells itself in one glance.
