No Gears, no crew, no map. Just the red vest and the cut-off shorts that a thousand episodes later everyone still recognises on sight.
The S.H.Figuarts Monkey D. Luffy Romance Dawn rebuild
This is a ground-up sculpt rather than a retool of an older Luffy, and the East Blue silhouette is the reason. Soft parts through the torso and shoulders let the vest crumple rather than hinge, and there are working joints in the sandals — genuinely useful on a character who spends most of his fights in the air with his feet doing something absurd.
Three faces and the obligatory meat
Three swap expressions cover the grin, the shout and the wide open laugh, with three pairs of hands and a swap hair set. And a piece of meat on the bone is in the box, because a Luffy without one is not finished.
Where he sits
14.5cm, in line with roughly 1/12-scale collections, and the obvious anchor for a growing One Piece shelf — Bandai have built Nami, Zoro, Sanji and Usopp into the same Romance Dawn line to stand beside him.
