Frieza First Form is the version that does the most damage while doing the least – seated, unhurried, letting other people fight. This reissue brings back the set that pairs him with his hoverpod, and the pod is the reason it has been chased since it went out of print.
The pod, supervised by Toriyama
The Frieza Pod was developed under Akira Toriyama’s own supervision, with a detailed interior and Frieza’s lower body sculpted directly into the seat. His upper half detaches from the standing figure and drops into the pod, so the same purchase gives you both the mobile tyrant and the one who has decided to stand up.
What the Frieza First Form set includes
Four interchangeable expressions, a swappable head part, two pairs of hands, the removable scouter and the five-star Dragon Ball in its Planet Namek colours. A Supernova effect part is packed in for the attack that ends Planet Vegeta, and the pod ships with its own base.
The figure stands roughly 11cm with the pod at 10cm – small next to the Saiyans he ruled, which was always the point on a Dragon Ball Z shelf.
