The Loungefly Kida backpack is a portrait, and it is nearly life-size on the panel. Kida’s face fills the front of the bag from the straps down, which is unusual for a Loungefly and is what makes this one work.
Blue on blue
The whole bag is in the deep blue of the film’s underwater light, with her skin a paler tone against it and the white hair falling either side in heavy appliqué sections. Fine pinstripe rays fan out behind her head like light through water. Her crystal sits at her throat on its cord, and a second crystal hangs off the side as a charm.
Not the obvious pick
Atlantis gets a fraction of the merchandise the princess films do, which is exactly why this one gets noticed. It runs the standard 23 × 27 × 11cm, with a zip top, pockets on both sides and adjustable shoulder straps.
