Four decades of Cloths, constellations and armour that actually comes apart. Here's what sits behind the Saint Seiya figures you're collecting.

• Forty years old in 2026. Masami Kurumada launched Saint Seiya in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1986, which is why anniversary editions are appearing across the line this year.
• Bigger abroad than at home. As Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque in France and Los Caballeros del Zodiaco across Latin America, it became a defining childhood anime for entire countries.
• The Asgard arc was never in the manga. Asgard and its God Warriors were created for the anime alone — an original storyline that fans have wanted in figure form for decades.
• Every Cloth is a real constellation. Hagen fights as Beta Merak, named for the star Beta Ursae Majoris in the Plough — the Cloths map onto the actual night sky.
• Armour that genuinely disassembles. The Saint Cloth Myth line rebuilds each Cloth as separable parts, so it can be worn by the figure or reassembled into its Object form on the stand.
